Job Description

Mission
Execute market orders for several European electricity markets according to the provided guidelines. Communicate and follow up market results and strategies performance.
Main Accountabilities
- Daily execute market orders in European electricity markets (Day ahead market/intraday/ bilateral contracts notification) according to the defined guidelines.
- Communication with internal (e.g Dispatch, Asset Management) and external (e.g. market operators, TSO) parties regarding daily market operations and executions.
- Monitoring on the markets and strategies performed, reporting to the rest of the department and other internal/external stakeholders about market movements and prices evolution, interpreting financial and market reports.
Required Profile
- REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS:
- Undergraduate required. Preferred degrees in Engineering, Business, Physics or Math science.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Experience working in English (i.e. written and oral English (bilingual)). Valued other languages.
- Familiar with market jargon is valuable.
- PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- In one or more of the following areas: electricity/energy markets, renewable regulation, finance. Previous experience as a trader would be valued.
- OTHER SKILLS:
- Domain of Microsoft Excel and other Office package.
- VBA, Power BI and R, and SQL would be a plus.
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products (preferred)
- Competency in Analytical Problem solving, strong communication, customer/partner relationships, and technology expertise (preferred)
- KNOWLEDGE:
- Responsible, organized, analytical, problem solving.
- OTHER
- This position implies a high level of responsibility.
- Since the operations are done on a daily basis, the position implies working in shifts (daytime).
