Job Description
- Complete detailed design for existing designs and next generation designs for piping and plumbing (using design tools (like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks), Excel, and in-house design calculations
- The position is responsible to define and draft engineering solutions under lead engineers/experienced engineers/manager and release of Bills of Materials, Assembly Drawings
- Complete designs through Proof of concept, 3D & 2D design, Proto build, Tolerance stack up, Value Engineering follow DFA/DFM/DFS
- Meet Safety, Quality, Cost and Timeline for all assigned deliverables
- Knowledge of CE/ASME codes
Qualification
- B.E.(Mechanical) With 2 to 4 years of experience in preferably Hydrogen generating industry/Automobile Industry/Water treatment industry/Pressure Swing type Absorption Dryer industry.
Mandatory Skills :
- System engineering experience with piping and plumbing, Instrumentation/Sensors, Pumps, Valves
- Exposure to pressure vessels and Sheet metal design
- Able to work on Solidworks, PRO E, CATIA or other 3D design tools; Good exposure to GD&T, Good at defining standard drawing practice.
- Knowledge of PDM tools like team center, EPDM etc
Responsible for detailed design of piping and plumbing systems for existing and next-gen products using SolidWorks, Excel, and in-house tools. Tasks include creating 2D/3D models, BOMs, and assembly drawings under the guidance of senior engineers. Supports all phases from concept to prototype, including tolerance analysis and value engineering, following DFA/DFM/DFS principles. Ensures safety, quality, cost, and timeline targets are met. Knowledge of CE and ASME codes required.
