Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems and electronic products.
- Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts.
- Lifecycle management, electronic component selection based on performance, cost, and reliability criteria.
- Prototyping, bring-up testing, debugging and running verification tests on hardware boards.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and compliance teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Conduct validation testing and support product certifications working with compliance teams.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, technical specifications, BOMs, test specifications/plans, change logs, datasheets.
- Continuously improve design processes and participate in design reviews.
- Technology development and product innovation.
- Competency development (both personal and amongst colleagues).
- Method and process development for working smarter.
- Provide help to KK colleagues whenever needed and appropriate - e.g. reviewing, etc.
- Develop KK’s WoW (way of working) e.g. tools, processes, etc.
Our requirements
Must Have Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design and development.
- Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
- Proficiency in schematic design and translating technical specifications into circuitry and component selection.
- Knowledge of microcontroller-based system design.
- Knowledge of communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet).
- Understanding of power supply design, protection circuits, and EMC design.
- Use of simulation tools such as - LTspice or Pspice.
- Experience in electronics design/development best practices.
- Ability to create technical documentation, datasheets, application notes and working instructions.
- Coordination on technical aspects and have a broader perspective of the product.
Good to Have Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in PCB design tools such as - Altium Designer, OrCAD.
- Experience with FPGAs and HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog).
- Familiarity with firmware update mechanisms and secure bootloaders.
- Experience with MATLAB or similar.
- Scripting language such as Python, MATLAB.
- Prior experience in a regulated domain (e.g., wind, automotive, industrial and backup products).
