Then join us as our new Director, Head of Engineering!
The PtX Team
Our PtX team is a dynamic and rapidly expanding group of over 80 dedicated professionals. We cover all aspects from project development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operation & maintenance of our PtX projects. As the Director, Head of Engineering, you will play a key role in our team.
Your Role
From day one, you will be involved in the early-stage planning of new projects, defining the design strategy for each PtX initiative. You will manage a team of 11 employees, ensuring timely resource availability for the projects as well as the wellbeing of your team. Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive project design plans that align customer and regulatory requirements with company objectives. You will continuously monitor design progress and maintain close contact with technical project managers on the projects. Additionally, you will establish efficient systems for design and engineering in close cooperation with the Deputy Head of Engineering, who will report directly to you with his team of 4 employees, focusing on systems, tools, specifications, work procedures, and design concepts.
You can expect some travel activity (approximately 25-30 days per year) visiting sub-suppliers and our construction sites.
Areas of Responsibility
- People management of your team.
- Coordinate and integrate the design processes with other departments.
- Oversee the design and engineering in project execution for all PtX projects.
- Quality assurance and capture lessons learned in your team.
- Establish, improve, and maintain engineering and design systems.
- Participate in setting strategic goals for our department.
Job Prerequisites
- An Engineering degree, Marine Engineer, or similar background.
- Min. of 10 years of proven experience in designing and engineering process plants, power plants, or petrochemical plants combined with min. 7 years of proven experience as a people manager.
- Deep understanding and extensive experience with large-scale EPC projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
You are enthusiastic, proactive, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. You excel both independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You possess good interpersonal skills and can effectively manage a diverse group of employees and stakeholders.
