Job Description

Responsible of managing the grid engineering (substation, transmission line) of solar project Lupi in Peru, acting as a leader for the grid engineering contracts, including civil, electrical, mechanical, control and interconnection interfaces.

Ensure adequate management of the technical processes and deliverables throughout the project life-cycle, delegating aspects to any relevant team members, and ensuring relevant technical expertise is consulted elsewhere in the company, or externally, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the engineering documentation and support required by projects in their different phases. The outcome will be project design, which can be developed internally or by third parties and validated by the Engineering Team, led by the Technical Lead Grid.
  • Lead the generation of technical and cost / time information for the investment decisions of projects.
  • Ensure that designs are aligned with corporate standards and consider the requirements of different areas involved in the projects.
  • Generate new knowledge through experience on projects and share lessons learned inside the company.

Requirements

Education:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of professional engineering work experience, and at least 5 of those involved in the design, construction or operation of medium / high voltage grid infrastructure (substations, transmission lines).

Desirable experience (non-excluding):

  • Specific experience in solar, wind and / or BESS projects.
  • Experience in the design and construction of high-voltage transmission lines and substations.

Other knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish is a must.
  • Knowledge of control, protection, communication systems for substations (desirable).
  • Knowledge of interconnection process in Peru / Chile (desirable).
  • Knowledge of software: AutoCAD, DigSilent (desirable).
