Job Description
As one of the most innovative and fast-growing companies in The Netherlands, Elestor offers exciting and competitive career opportunities with plenty of scope for both personal and professional development.
Position
As Electrical Engineer, you actively contribute to various projects varying from test set-ups in our lab to full scale client applications in which you will encounter challenges in a hands-on working and learning position. Your ultimate responsibility is developing, maintaining and troubleshooting al electrical systems we need by generating schematics, perform calculations, select equipment and make sure that all is (grid) code compliant.
This is an opportunity for curious individuals with the desire to be in the middle of innovation and have an innate drive to contribute to the energy transition. The growth of the Elestor organization enables several development trajectories in which you can learn and accumulate ownership.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for various projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, reports, and specifications as needed.
- Perform simulations and testing of electrical components to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete projects.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues during the design, testing, and implementation phases.
- Together with other team members, perform hands-on work in installations at our facility, installing, testing, troubleshooting and putting into service of electrical components such as motors, inverters, instrumentation and battery testers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout project development.
- Challenge the status quo and contribute to 21st-century engineering ways of working.
Profile
Elestor is looking for an all-round electrical engineer willing to learn, design and troubleshoot (a combination of thinking and doing). You are proactive and pragmatic in your behavior (and communication) and not afraid to challenge the status quo. Taking ownership of various assignments at once (while running multiple projects simultaneously) fits your ability to plan and execute accordingly. In addition, striving for ownership and slowly taking over responsibilities provides you with a lot of motivation (and energy)!
Education, Skills and Experience
- BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum four years of industrial work experience within an R&D and Engineering environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of electrical engineering and automation (power conversion, grid codes, inverters).
- Systems in ATEX environments with safety/reliability requirements (SIL).
- Low and medium voltage power networks.
- Experience within an industrial setting with tasks and responsibilities related to commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Passionate in clean energy and electrical energy storage technologies.
- Fluent in English.
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
Elestor's Mission & Relevance
magine a world without polluting power plants, powered purely by clean electricity…
This world is closer than you think. The sun and the wind are powerful enough, and so are the technologies to harvest their energy. However, possibilities to store renewable energy (sustainably, cost-effectively) are lacking; Long-Duration Electricity Storage (LDES) is ‘the missing link’ in the energy transition.
It is Elestor’s mission to cut the cost of electricity storage. We develop large-scale, cost-effective H2-FE storage technologies technologies that are carbon neutral and durable, thereby unifying the interests of the planet, people, and business profitability.
