Job Description
Grow your potential by becoming a member of the Green Building Renewables team. As the Heating Engineer, based in York, you will join our friendly growing business and make a difference.
Green Building Renewables is a network of local experts with over 20 years’ experience of installing low-carbon and renewable technologies. GBR installs a range of products including air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.
Green Building Renewables is actively acquiring like-minded renewables businesses to expand its local network across mainland Britain. As part of this plan, Bright Green Renewables will join the business and be rebranded in Spring 2022.
Our head office is based in York with a further 9 offices nationwide , Green Building Renewable’s Managing Director is Chris Delaney.

The Renewable Heating Engineer is responsible for installing and commissioning Renewable heating systems and associated products. This individual will have a high standard of work and able to work both on their own and in a team environment. The Renewable Heating Engineer has the confidence to liaise with customers and communicate effectively – solving problems and challenges as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with customer to explain how the products and systems work.
- Provides ongoing help and support as the work is carried out.
- Installs heating systems and renewable products.
- Provides support to the team when required with planned work.
- Completes the necessary paperwork for each of the completed jobs, in a timely manner.
- Undertakes training on new products and technologies in order to provide advice to customers with confidence.
Education & Qualifications
- 1 Year experience of working in a customer service environment. – Essential
- 1 Year experience of working in a plumbing role. – Essential
- 1 Year experience of working in a heating role. – Essential
- Holds a full UK driving license – Essential
- Experience of working in the Renewable Energy sector. – Desirable
- Experience of working in the construction sector – Desirable
- BPEC qualifications in heat pumps, unvented, water regulations and part L. – Desirable
- Electrical qualifications – Desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
