Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in building and maintaining standard inventory management reports and processes. Provide KPIs to management and work with management on continuous improvement plans. This position will be responsible for building and managing reports, reporting any suspicious activity to management and vetting all new/current inventory with appropriate departments to ensure all stakeholders are involved. This position will also be responsible for research to uncover and reconcile inventory variances to improve overall inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel (up to 50%) to warehouse locations to assist with reorganization and standardization of warehouse layout
  • Resolve any major inventory discrepancies by:
    • Inventory Adjustments
    • Clean up of shipment or receiving errors
    • Sales Order creation/updates
    • Pick transaction completion
  • Work with multiple departments on cause and effect from reported variances
  • Investigate reported variances, tracks causes, reconciles and recommends improvement strategies
  • Assist in implementation of new software and hardware with the warehouse management team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High School Graduate or GED

Experience

  • 3+ years of solar experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignments without direct supervision
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Must complete a criminal background investigation
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, Visio and PowerPoint to perform analytical work in a presentable format
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Previous experience working with Inventory analysis
  • Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to count accurately and be detailed oriented
  • Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated
  • Strong computer skills

Special Skills & Training

  • Experience in the use of Fishbowl preferred
