About the Role

The Manager of IT Operations is necessary to ensure high level performance and 24/7 uptime of all EOS Infrastructure, applications, and systems both on premise and in the cloud.

Accountable For

The Manager of IT Operations leads a team of IT Network, Systems, and Security professionals in a hybrid infrastructure environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining the stability, performance, and security of EOS’s technology and infrastructure across multiple locations. This individual brings deep expertise in Windows-based infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity operations with a strong emphasis on scalability and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure and security program, including but not limited to hypervisors, servers, networks, telecom, switching/routing, firewalls, wireless, PCs and other network connected devices
  • Support hardware, software, and network connectivity for multiple sites and remote users. This includes 3rd party software and proprietary software specific to Eos Energy Storage.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s IT systems and data. Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards and implement necessary controls.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT Networking, Systems, and Security professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors. Negotiate contracts, evaluate service level agreements, and ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards.
  • Collaborate and coordinate personnel all EOS locations on schedules and ensure proper IT support during maintenance and outage windows.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and capacity forecasting
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide support.
  • Provide insight into company security posture through KPIs, with monthly reporting on items such as OS patch management, vulnerability management, and Office 365 security posture
  • Manage yearly Disaster Recovery service testing, maintain documentation related to failover process
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on IT operations and performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate IT projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
  • Provide oversight and management for Mobility device security and two factor authentication systems.
  • Support continued development of SOX program for any IT Infrastructure systems in scope
  • Identify, oversee the development and implementation of staff training procedures and policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, networking, storage systems, and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Deep understanding and experience of Office 365 administration, and platforms within
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing Windows based Infrastructure, VMware, AWS, VDI environments
  • Must have solid understanding of Networking and Security concepts, ISO 27001 and/or NERC CIP a plus
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience maintaining DRaaS environment and annual testing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in different types of computer hardware, software, peripherals and components, networking protocols and communications.
  • Installing and imaging new computers and loading of appropriate software for customers.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or information technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years' technical experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in management

Travel

  • Local Travel: Less than 10%
  • Overnight/North America: Less than 10%

Working Conditions

  • Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
