Job Description
You will take part of a software engineers team who develop the Nordex Acciona wind farm controllers to fulfill customer and grid code requirements.
- Functional definition of wind farm control requirements.
- Software development of the Nordex Acciona wind farm controller.
- Software validation in the laboratory and also on field (remotely).
- Control performance optimization.
- Lead complex developments.
- Communication interfaces development and optimization.
- Close cooperation with stakeholders (Control and Grid code team, laboratory test team)
- 3rd level support for the Nordex Acciona wind farm fleet.
Your Profile
- Degree in Control, Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Deep knowledge in PLC programming with IEC61131-3 and Matlab/Simulink.
- Deep knowledge in PLC architectures.
- Deep knowledge in abstract thinking.
- Deep knowledge in industrial communication protocols like Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC60870-5-101/104, DNP3, OPC_UA, Bluecom.
- Good experience in control algorithms and network technology
- Good experience on Renewable Power Plant & Grid Codes.
- Desirable experience in IEC61400-25 Namespace.
- Desirable experience with Embedded Coding Generation and RT systems for Control Applications
- Desirable experience with hybrid generation plants (BESS, PV, H2)
- English (very good written and spoken). Ideally skills in German or Spanish
- Independent, reliable, and systematic/structured way of working. Strong communication and team skills paired with intercultural competence.
- Minimum work experience of 2 years in similar role.
- Availability to travel
