In the frame of a multi-year journey to cloud, we are looking for a highly motivated Google Cloud Architect who has experience in designing, developing, and deploying high value and high-volume cloud-native applications on Google Cloud. We are looking for an experienced architect who can apply best practices to our advanced analytics solution which leverages AI/ML technology to help our utility clients realize the potential of big data and artificial intelligence.

In partnership with multiple stakeholders, you will focus on developing and delivering leading edge cloud solutions using Google Cloud and, as a key member of our engineering practice, solve the tough problems and ensure success in designing and building a complex world-class analytics application on public cloud.

Responsibilities

• Enable our clients to tackle tough problems and innovate at scale with hands on the keyboard architect and engineer advanced analytics solutions
• Lead in early discussion and analysis of cloud concepts, and assist in creating proof-of-concepts with the full backing of the relevant teams
• Perform a thorough technical discovery, identifying problem areas, technical and business requirements, and as-is and future state scenarios
• Assist in developing our community of practice by sharing your knowledge and experience with your peers and apprentices
• Evaluate potential solutions using both technical and commercial criteria that support the established cost and service requirements

Expectations for Skills and Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in application architecture, including knowledge of cloud architecture design, evaluation, and research
• Self-starter with in-depth hands-on work experience using Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge multiple development and scripting languages and DevOps tools
• Understanding of AI/ML and advanced analytics and the application thereof in cloud-native environments
• Experience with Agile methods, automation, and tools. Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes
• Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, coaching, analysis, problem solving and planning
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities
