The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Mechanical Building Services Engineer with at least 10 years' experience to join the team in Bengaluru office, and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region and internationally.
The candidate should possess first-hand experience on Middle East projects and a comprehensive understanding of Middle East local authority regulations.
You would be working on a variety of projects working with leading developers and clients. We are looking for people who have hands on experience of leading mechanical designs in a variety of sectors including commercial offices, retail, shopping malls, education, hospitality, healthcare etc.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering these projects whilst managing other discipline engineers across different offices. You will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, including external third-party consultants, to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.
You should be able to analyse problems and produce designs to solve them, with the ability to make decisions in high-stress situations.
You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and leadership skills to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership.
The Skills
Educated to degree level in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering and having gained substantial experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a building services context, you have an extensive portfolio of experience demonstrating your familiarity with high quality engineering solutions and a client-focussed approach. You should have extensive experience in report writing, skills and specifications as per project requirements.
In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and less experienced engineers to deliver to and exceed client expectations. You possess sound knowledge of Revit/Navisworks /BIM 360 platform for documentations, and have proven experience for creative, sustainable, and intuitive design.
You should also possess experience in resource planning and supporting the project manager in costing along with sound knowledge in MS projects and power point.
Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential.
