Job Description
Our Transmission business has a large portfolio of projects across Scotland, and we are looking for a Lead Project Coordinator to join us on our journey. As Lead Project Coordinator, you will manage a team of Project Coordinators that have the key role of supporting their stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and is passionate about helping teams succeed.
You Will
- Manage a team of Project Coordinators making sure the team is delivering a high level of service which will involve meeting deadlines, producing work to a high standard and coordinating their workload in a very busy role.
- Have experience of Line Manager duties, including dealing with confidential matters, mentoring and training.
- Forecast the correct level of resource to make sure the team is sufficiently staffed.
- Liaise with your stakeholders to make sure a high level of service is being delivered and always improving the teams performance.
- Play an active role in making sure the team is meeting key milestones in line with the LCP Governance Framework and adhere to critical deadlines, therefore having a background in project delivery is desired.
You Have
- Experience of working in a similar project focused industry.
- Line Manager experience or experience of training and developing individuals, being able to demonstrate you are confident to manage a team.
- Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to manage the team’s workload, along with being flexible to deal with change.
- Being confident working in a team environment, chairing meetings, implementing change and
- Competent administration and IT skills.
The successful candidate would be expected to travel between different SSE offices/project sites, with the occasional overnight stay. Therefore, a driving license is required
