About the role
As the Reliability Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the reliability function within Production Operations, delivering practical and commercially responsive solutions that balance stakeholder needs. Your leadership will ensure proactive and reactive reliability strategies are implemented effectively, ensuring the integrity, availability and longevity of our assets that have been operating for over 100 years!
As the Reliability Engineering Lead, you will;
- Provide accurate, timely reporting on asset condition and performance data to inform key business decisions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and ensure findings feed into future maintenance plans.
- Drive the adoption of reliability best practices and improvement initiatives across teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally to uplift the reliability function across the organisation while developing and mentoring a small team of reliability professionals.
- Deliver reliability solutions that balance technical feasibility, business needs, and stakeholder priorities.
Who are you?
You’re a skilled reliability engineer with a solid background in asset management, ideally in power generation or a large industrial setting. You have a degree in engineering and at least five years’ experience, and you know what it takes to keep critical assets performing at their best.
You’re comfortable analysing problems, thinking strategically, and finding practical, cost-effective solutions that make a real difference. You’re not just technically strong, you’re also a team player who enjoys working with others, sharing knowledge, and supporting your team to grow and succeed.
You have a proactive mindset, a strong focus on continuous improvement, and a genuine interest in making operations more reliable and efficient. If you're someone who brings both expertise and leadership, and you're ready to roll up your sleeves to deliver great outcomes, this role could be a great fit.
