We are looking for a motivated and skilled Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a 12-month temporary position.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a dynamic and open environment.
The selected candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, benefiting from valuable mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
Some travel is expected for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in qualifying new technology for lithium-ion battery systems.
- Support development projects and conceptual work.
- Contribute to the development of digital twin battery systems, focusing on power path modelling using Python and MATLAB.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components with electrical and software systems.
- Conduct testing and validation of mechanical designs to ensure performance and reliability.
- Provide support for manufacturing line activities.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Entry-level to junior engineers are preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and mechanical design.
- Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for simulations and data analysis.
- Knowledge of battery systems and a keen interest in energy storage technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques.
- Prior experience in prototyping or manufacturing is beneficial.
- Understanding of thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics principles.
- Knowledge of Ansys and/or Simulink is a plus
- Practical knowledge and experience is a plus
Other relevant skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
