Position Summary
The Crew Lead oversees residential solar installations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and hands-on expertise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise full installation process and jobsite safety
- Oversee rooftop and ground mount system installs
- Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on job updates
- Mount racking, modules, and electrical components
- Complete job documentation and collect required photos
- Manage team productivity and job site cleanliness
- Safely operate company vehicle and manage truck inventory
- Troubleshoot and resolve install issues
- Attend training and travel as required
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ year of solar install experience; 6+ months in a lead role
- Electrical and roof racking experience required
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and safety-focused
- Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Skilled with hand/power tools and training others
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting
- Repetitive movements, balance, and coordination
- Able to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs and work on rooftops in varying environments
