Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Project Manager -NERC Compliance to join our Spark team. The Project Manager - NERC Compliance is responsible for ensuring that Spark Power’s utility-scale renewable energy projects adhere to all relevant standards, rules, and statutes set by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), its Regional Entities (RE), and other applicable regulatory bodies. This role also involves developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive NERC Compliance Program.
What you will do as a Project Manager- NERC Compliance
- Lead and manage the NERC CIP implementation program, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements. Manage day-to-day activities related to NERC CIP Medium Impact integration program
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with NERC CIP, SOX, NIST, and other cybersecurity standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective action
- Manage project schedules to meet client commitments. Manage work orders and approve invoices
- Manage project deliverables from estimating through closeout stages.
- Monitor and report on compliance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Stay current with changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends and adjust compliance programs accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- expectations while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Review studies, one-line diagrams, models, engineering drawings, protection system documents, and other technical information to determine compliance.
- Collaborate with Spark Power Development and internal teams (IT, legal, etc) and external consultants to prepare future projects for NERC compliance.

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for
- 5 years Project Management Experience
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and varied deliverables
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards such as NERC CIP, SOX, NIST, and other relevant frameworks.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Great attitude with a desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Must have excellent conflict resolution, problem solving and analytical skills.
- ability to learn and demonstrate technical understanding of power plant systems, design, and operation as they relate to NERC Standards.
- Experience administering and/or working with compliance/work-flow databases or software (SharePoint or equivalent).
- Excellent people skills, organizational and time-management skills, drive for results, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and/or lead a team
