Job Description

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for the safe and productive working conditions at Silfab Solar by maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-maintained workplace. The schedule for this position is Monday and Friday, 10PM - 6:30AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cleans, sanitizes and stocks paper supplies in restrooms, break room and common areas.
Sweeps and mops restrooms, break room, common areas, other areas as needed.
Disposes of trash and recyclables from restrooms, break room, common areas, and production line.
Outside grounds cleaning.
Ensure that sanitation and quality standards are being met.
Working knowledge of cleaning products for effective and safe use
Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Skills

High level of attention to detail to ensure that sanitation & quality standards are being met.
Working knowledge cleaning products used for cleaning & sanitation.
Knowledge & use of power tools.
Minor plumbing & carpentry skills.

Traits

Ability to follow directions closely.
Ability to read and write in English.
Able to self-start and work independently.

Education and/or Experience

Experience as a custodian or janitor in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
Proficient in facility cleaning, hazardous waste disposal and maintaining compliance with safety.
Strong experience in performing routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, sanitizing and restocking supplies.
High school diploma or equivalent
