Job Description

Technician – Fitter Welder with an ITI certification and a minimum of 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in welding and fitting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fitting tasks as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding machines.
  • Assemble and install mechanical components and structures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair of welding tools and equipment.
  • Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

  • ITI certification in Fitter/Welder or equivalent trade.
  • Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant experience in welding and fitting.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in fabrication and structural welding. with Assembly & dismantling the equipment
