The Opportunity

As our Training Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we develop the next generation of technical experts across our network.

Leading a team of Program Leads and Technical Trainers, you will oversee Development programs designed to meet the technical needs of the business and wider industry. You will ensure that every program we deliver meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and industry alignment, while also embracing innovation to prepare our people for the future of energy.

This is a leadership role with broad influence: you will build partnerships with industry, regulators, and education providers, ensuring Transgrid continues to set the benchmark for technical training across the sector.

A Day in the Life at Transgrid

Your work will be varied and highly impactful. On any given day you might:

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of Program Leads and Trainers.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of technical development programs across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Collaborate with regulators, industry bodies, and vocational training providers.
  • Ensure all training is compliant, high-quality, and continuously improved.
  • Drive cultural uplift by embedding safety, capability, and excellence in every program.

About You

You are a senior leader with deep experience in technical training within the energy or utilities sector. You combine strategic vision with operational excellence, and you know how to bring people along with you. You are highly credible with regulators and industry partners, and you are passionate about building a safe and capable workforce. You will bring:

  • Significant experience in leading large-scale training programs within electricity or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, RTO governance, and training accreditation.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive level.
