Your Missions
Our EPC Business Line is looking for experienced EPC Site Managers to support our construction projects around Ireland. The EPC Site Manager is responsible for the management, coordination, and realization of all the site activities for the construction of the project.
- Assist the Project Manager in site preparation activities (clearing, track construction, fence installation, etc.).
- Consult suppliers and subcontractors to select the best suited ones for the project.
- Support the Project Manager in the preparation of the contracts with subcontractors.
- Analyze and monitor the execution plans provided by the project manager (expected deliverables, delivery deadlines, budget) and ensure their proper implementation in the field.
- Ensure the supply of materials, services and order necessary supplies (small tools, equipment rental, etc.), and organize its storage.
- Define and ensure proper site layout according to the execution plans (ground marking, structure tracing, identification of networks, marking).
- Coordinate the intervention of machinery and construction equipment.
- Maintain good relations with local residents and various stakeholders present in the vicinity of the construction site.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace hygiene on the site, as well as environmental rules (waste management, noise pollution, etc.).
- Coordinate and supervise the actions of subcontractors, constantly updating their superiors about their performance.
- Allocate workload within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with contractual relationships.
- Prepare activity monitoring reports with daily progress status of work packages.
- Control the progress schedules of different project phases and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to deadlines and budget.
- Raise alerts to the project manager in case of deviation from the planned schedule.
- Regularly review progress with the project manager to track overall construction advancement.
- Complete the HSE indicators tracking file to ensure compliance of site activities with Voltalia's HSE requirements.
Qualifications & Experiences
The ideal candidate will have/ be:
- Degree or master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management.
- Driver's license (B).
- In-depth knowledge of construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in project planning (able to work with planning software) - Earned Value and Critical Path method.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of construction law and labor law.
- General knowledge in the energy sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (writing, comprehension, and communication).
- Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
