Job Description
Location: This position will be onsite at our corporate offices in Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area). **Not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage multiple concurrent projects in manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, technical support, IT, and sales, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Planning & Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, timelines, resources, and budgets, coordinating with other teams inside and outside of the organization.
- Execution & Monitoring: Execute project plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet milestones, using Agile methodologies (scrums, sprints, backlogs) where applicable.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues and obstacles to keep initiatives on track and within scope.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and report regularly to the COO and leadership team on progress, milestones, budgets, and outcomes.
- Business Process Improvement: Lead the identification, analysis, and redesign of business processes to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve quality; implement standardized workflows and best practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) for operational excellence.
- Strategic Alignment: Partner with the COO to align cross-departmental efforts with company goals, ensuring seamless execution of operational and strategic priorities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate collaboration between procurement, manufacturing, technical support, and sales teams to drive operational success.
- Executive Communication: Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefings for the COO, translating complex operational data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Meeting Management: Organize and lead key meetings, setting agendas, following up on action items, and ensuring alignment across departments.
- Change Management: Drive business process improvement initiatives, supporting the COO in implementing new workflows, technology adoption, and cultural shifts to optimize performance in a dynamic energy storage market.
- Process Optimization Leadership: Conduct in-depth process audits, map workflows, and design streamlined procedures to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure scalability; train teams on new processes and monitor adoption.
- Special Projects: Lead ad-hoc strategic initiatives, integrating business process improvements for maximum efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, status reports, and updates for stakeholders on milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of program or project management experience, with 2+ years in strategic or Chief of Staff-like role; demonstrated success in business process improvement.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in business process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) with measurable results.
- Fully capable with state-of-the-art project management methodologies, tools and techniques for timeline, issue tracking, and resource management.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Asana) and process mapping/analysis software.
- PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile certification strongly preferred.
- Attributes:
- Strategic thinker, detail-orientated, adaptable, and passionate about driving process excellence in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of inverter and BESS technologies, manufacturing, and market dynamics preferred.
