From major renewable energy projects and firming generation to high voltage direct current inter-country interconnectors and offshore grids, we're integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
Join our Brisbane-based Energy & Power team as a Senior Project Manager, where you'll lead complex power generation projects and help shape the future of Australia's energy infrastructure. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering high-impact energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex power generation projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, technical standards, and Jacobs' quality benchmarks.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams and engineering consultancy services, driving collaboration and high-performance outcomes.
- Manage project governance, financial performance, and technical compliance, ensuring successful and sustainable delivery.
- Implement process improvements and best practices across portfolios to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with delivery leads and bid managers to optimise resource utilisation and lead business development efforts, including client relationship management.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration, while actively engaging with clients and stakeholders.
Here's what you'll need
- Extensive experience managing large-scale energy and power sector projects, particularly in thermal power generation (e.g., LPG, coal, hydrogen, process plants).
- Engineering background in electrical or mechanical disciplines (preferred), with strong technical acumen.
- Proven ability to drive accountability and deliver strong commercial outcomes, supported by advanced financial and risk management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and advanced scheduling tools, ensuring effective project planning and execution.
- Well-versed in contract types such as EPC, EPCM, and OE, with diverse experience across consulting and construction-side infrastructure delivery.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within our growing APAC Energy and Power team, with excellent prospects for career advancement.
