Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support strategic analysis related to EDP's and EDPR's equity stories, helping identify the key drivers of valuation, earnings growth and investor perception and translating them into actionable insights for Investor Relations and senior management.
  • Develop financial, valuation and capital markets analyses to support decision-making on strategic equity-related topics, including capital allocation, shareholder remuneration, share buybacks, treasury stock and other potential equity transactions.
  • Support the assessment and implementation of equity capital markets initiatives, including analyzing potential listings in additional markets, equity raises and other transactions involving EDP or EDPR shares.
  • Analyse EDP's and EDPR's valuation and share-price performance, including sum-of-the-parts, relative valuation, market-implied expectations and potential drivers of valuation gaps versus peers.
  • Identify and assess opportunities to strengthen the EDP/EDPR investment case, including analysis of earnings growth levers, medium- and long-term value creation opportunities and topics relevant to improving market visibility beyond the current business plan horizon.
  • Monitor equity capital market developments, investor positioning, market trends and relevant transactions, assessing their potential implications for EDP and EDPR.
  • Conduct peer and transaction benchmarking, covering performance by analyzing results, valuation, capital allocation, shareholder remuneration, strategic positioning and relevant corporate or capital markets actions.
  • Collaborate with M&A, Finance, Strategy, Legal and other internal teams on the analysis, preparation and communication of transactions and strategic initiatives with potential equity market implications.
  • Prepare strategic analyses and presentations for senior management, including the CFO and other members of the leadership team, on equity market, valuation and investor-related topics.
  • Contribute to targeted investor and analyst engagement on specific strategic themes, including thematic deep dives and other market communication initiatives aimed at improving understanding of EDP's and EDPR's businesses and value creation potential.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly results and other key market communications, working closely with the IR Analysis & Reporting and investor-facing teams during periods of higher activity.
  • Contribute to Investor Relations activities more broadly when required, including analysis of financial community research, preparation of investor materials, investor targeting and participation in meetings, roadshows and Capital Markets Days.
  • The role will provide significant exposure to strategic corporate finance and equity market topics, combining financial analysis, market intelligence and interaction with senior management and external capital market participants.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance and valuation, with the ability to analyse companies using methodologies such as trading multiples, DCF and sum-of-the-parts valuation.
  • Strong interest in equity markets, corporate strategy and the energy sector, with the ability to understand how operational and strategic developments translate into earnings, cash flow, valuation and investor perception.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex questions, develop independent analyses and derive clear conclusions from financial and market information.
  • Ability to translate detailed analysis into concise, decision-oriented messages and presentations for senior management and external audiences.
