We are seeking an experienced Vice President/Senior Vice President of Supply Chain to lead and optimize our global supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing supply chain operations from contract manufacturing of electrical equipment, scaling production volumes, driving down cost of goods sold, and driving up production quality and reliability, through to component sourcing and supply. Knowledge of residential electricity smart meter manufacturing is highly desirable. This executive will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the highest quality standards across our global supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with company goals.
    • Lead initiatives to scale volume, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve production/product quality and reliability.
    • Ensure supply chain operations is fully integrated into product sustaining and new product introduction processes
  2. Global Manufacturing Operations
    • Manage existing contract manufacturing relationships in U.S. and Mexico to meet cost goals and compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
    • Identify and onboard new contract manufacturing partners to support business growth, product cost goals, and diversification.
  3. Supply Chain Optimization
    • Develop and manage the achievement of long and short term product cost goals
    • Manage planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory operations to achieve operational excellence.
    • Implement advanced technologies and systems for supply chain monitoring, tracking, and optimization.
  4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure supply chain capabilities meet demands with sufficient contingency and adhere to internal processes.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
  5. Risk Management and Compliance
    • Develop contingency and risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain and maintain cost control.
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and environmental standards.
    • Develop supply chain ESG reporting framework and supplier code of conduct aligned with investor reporting needs and business practices.

Qualifications

  1. Experience
    • SVP 15+ / VP 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations and management, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
    • Proven track record of obtaining volume, cost, and quality targets through optimized supply chain operations and a portfolio of contract manufacturing partnerships.
    • Experience in the electrical equipment industry is essential; knowledge of residential smart meter manufacturing is a strong advantage.
  2. Skills and Competencies
    • Exceptional leadership, communications, and team management skills.
    • Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics and regulatory environments.
    • Strong negotiation and contract/relationship management abilities.
    • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP, and PLM systems (NetSuite ERP and Arena PLM experience is a strong advantage).
  3. Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, law, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.

US Salary Range

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
