Responsibilities

  • Management and coordination of the EMEA field sales team
  • Personal support in strategically important negotiations with customers
  • Networking and coordination with international sales activities in China and the USA
  • Expansion of the sales organisation and introduction of standardised processes and guidelines
  • Alignment and further development of the sales strategy and implementation in segment- and customer-specific sales concepts
  • Defining pricing strategies in collaboration with product management and deriving negotiation strategies
  • Identifying, evaluating and realising growth potential in existing and new markets and product areas
  • Acquisition and further development of international sales partners and key accounts
  • Working closely with product management on product launches and developing and implementing accompanying sales measures and campaigns
  • Monitoring the market and competition with regard to new trends, processes and technologies and deriving suitable action plans to achieve the company's goals
  • Creating and updating sales campaigns in the CRM system
  • Monitoring overdue payments from customers and taking countermeasures
  • Creating regular sales plans based on the development of incoming orders
  • Planning for the largest customers and taking opportunities into account
  • Analysing deviations between actual business performance and planning
  • Preparation of the annual sales budget and plausibility checks with Production and PM, among others
  • Collaboration as a member of the Salesforce Council
  • Prioritisation of customer delivery dates
  • Promoting quality and environmental awareness of the quality and environmental management system
  • Compliance with export control regulations in the area of responsibility
  • Implementation of product and occupational safety measures

Qualifications

  • Degree in industrial engineering or training with a corresponding technical and commercial focus
  • Several years of international management experience in sales and/or product management, ideally in automation technology or mechanical and plant engineering
  • High level of customer and market orientation
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and integratively in intercultural structures
  • High willingness to travel
  • Fluent written and spoken English, other foreign languages an advantage
  • Very good IT skills (MS Office, CRM system, in particular Salesforce.com an advantage)
