Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for product group management with regard to planning, control and procurement of our raw and trading goods as well as semi-finished products
• Negotiation of purchase prices, delivery conditions including payment terms
• Conclusion of supply contracts, confidentiality agreements, quality assurance contracts and framework agreements
• Supplier management, in particular supplier evaluation, if necessary deriving action plans, search and qualification of new suppliers
• Planning and support of supplier audits
• Optimization of inventory management within the framework of the specified goals
• Conceptual design of purchasing processes during and after the introduction of the new ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Disciplinary and professional management of assigned employees

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the areas of strategic purchasing or supply chain management in a manufacturing company
• Experience in dealing with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong analytical skills and technical affinity
• Experience with basic methodologies and tools of a purchasing organization (e.g. ABC/XYZ analysis, supplier classifications, etc.)
• Leadership experience, communication and teamwork skills as well as strong negotiation skills
• Entrepreneurial thinking, confident demeanor and personal initiative
• Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
• Very good MS Office knowledge
