Our multidisciplinary team of experts offer strategic, technical, and regulatory advice in all fields related to power transmission, as well as a range of specialist solutions to a diverse and international client base in the power sector.
Elia Grid International has offices in Belgium, Germany, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA), Malaysia, and Thailand.
Your function
EGI wishes to reinforce its team to support international clients navigate the complex environment they operate in. To achieve this, we are looking for a motivated intern/working student to support the team by developing creative solutions and applying new methods for the energy services of tomorrow.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
- Supporting on facilitating the valorisation of renewables and decentral actors in the energy sector and contribute to our data driven valuation frameworks;
- Support in building energy market models;
- Evaluating developments (quantitatively and qualitatively);
- Developing creative solutions and applying new methods for the energy services of tomorrow; Following on the latest evolutions in the power sector and it’s infrastructure such as grid and market integration of renewables, hydrogen, PtX, and energy storage systems...;
Your profile
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or the end of a bachelor’s degree in industrial/electrical engineering, energy economics, data science or similar disciplines;
- Understanding of/interest in the energy transition and power sector-related topics, such as power grid and markets, and renewable energy;
- Capability to deal with data, some experience in Python, R, or GAMS;
- Knowledge of energy system optimization is a plus;
- Motivated quick-learning team player with high analytical and transversal abilities;
- Interest in solving problems and taking on new challenges;
- Fluent in English; Knowledge of Arabic, German, and/or French is a strong asset;

- Fair compensation with flexible working hours - 6 months duration min.
- 37h/week for interns
- up to 20h/week for working students ;
