A Day in the Life
- Support the collection of daily production and safety data.
- Help coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
- Assist with project equipment management and inventory, including tools and materials.
- Attend weekly meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
- Engage in field activities to gain experience with craft positions.
- Assist in preparing agendas for daily and monthly meetings (Plan of the Day, Monthly Managers Meetings).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, landowners, and team members to enhance the company’s position.
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in construction management, engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial), or related degree.
- Able to relocate to the construction project site assigned for duration of the internship (12 weeks).
- Have access to reliable transportation.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
- Comfortable with exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and a trailer office environment.
What Will Set You Apart
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Visio).
- Skill in accounting (math and record-keeping).
- Be independently motivated and have supervisory skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
