Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded individual to join our dynamic Corporate Strategy team as a Senior Analyst. This role is pivotal in supporting the work of the Corporate Strategy & Executive Leadership teams, as well as supporting our Corporate Development & Partnership efforts. The scope of this role has the potential to be broad, including market and competitive intelligence, annual planning and strategy ops, strategy workshops and strategy formulation, cross-functional strategic projects, as well as supporting M&A and partnerships. This position reports into the Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Corporate Development.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Build comprehensive view of market with data, working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of market dynamics, customer strategies, and industry developments to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop a set of key market indicators to enable us to track key trends impacting our customers.
  • Provide regular reporting on financial metrics of customers, competitors and investors in sector.

Strategic Projects

  • Manage cross-functional and strategic projects by structuring approach, conducting primary and secondary research, and performing analysis as needed.
  • Summarize key findings into clean, clear and concise word and power point documents.
  • Work closely with colleagues around the globe to ensure we are leveraging in house knowledge and ensuring buy-in.

Team Operations

  • Support team on critical projects with supporting research and analysis.
  • Help drive operations of strategy team and the company at large by staying on top of our reporting cadence.
  • Support the development of “client-ready” presentations and financial models

Required Competencies

Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to distill information into a clear, concise, and compelling story that enables stakeholders to make more informed decisions.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who can structure complex problems and projects to deliver results.
  • Experience in energy or renewables vertical preferred.
  • College/University B.A. or B.S. required
