Senior Contract Manager (m/w/d)

What will you do?

As our new Senior Contract Manager, you will lead contract negotiations, provide strategic guidance, and ensure agreements align with business objectives while managing risk. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the contract lifecycle, from tender to execution, while mentoring, leading and upskilling the organization on contractual best practices.

Your main tasks include:

Tender Phase

• Lead contract negotiation and contract drafting as part of a cross functional team of sales, technical, and commercial.
• Have a strategic oversight and provide advice on contractual risks, balancing competitiveness and risk mitigation.
• Lead efforts of internal stakeholder management with legal, finance, and insurance teams to ensure compliance.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders to secure favourable terms.

Operations Phase

• Key advisor to the Projects team on contractual matters having a strategic oversight of the contractual aspects in project execution.
• Lead discussions with clients on claims, variation and ensure alignment with contractual terms.
• Advise on contract execution, variations, and claims resolution.
• Collaborate with procurement in drafting subcontractor and supplier agreements.

General

• Increase organizational awareness of contractual risks and opportunities.
• Assist Finance with financial forecasting, risk assessment, and cost control measures.
• Stay updated on industry trends, evolving regulations, and best practices.
• Act as a senior subject-matter expert and mentor, providing guidance on complex contractual issues and upskilling the wider organization.

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented profile, who can navigate complex contracts, manage risk effectively, and collaborate across teams to drive successful negotiations and project execution.

We think you will be a good match if you:

• Education & Skills: Relevant academic background and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience: 10+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Contract Expertise: Proven track record with FIDIC contracts and familiarity with BIMCO Supply Time is ideal.
