Ameresco is actively seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Account Executive in Pittsburgh / Western Pennsylvania region to strategically market and promote energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology solutions. The Sr. Account Executive will target, qualify, and develop comprehensive financial and energy solutions for their clients. The sales professional will have proven sales skills with a strong aptitude for finance and the ability to understand and present cash-flows while building a co-authored client outcome.

The ideal candidate is a successful performance contracting, top selling performer with experience in the municipal or K12 market with proven sales success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to identify, target, qualify, and secure prospects for new energy efficiency, performance contract, turnkey construction, and renewable business opportunities
  • Lead, drive, and manage sales activities and resources from lead generation through development and implementation
  • Formulate marketing and business development forecasts, plans, and activities to increase company presence in defined markets and achieve regional objectives
  • Develop, manage, and execute individual and regional sales pipelines
  • Serve as key point of contact with customer and lead all presentations
  • Oversee the successful development, organization, strategic positioning, preparation, and issuance of winning proposals and presentations
  • Review project submittals for quality assurance, technical accuracy, and customer-oriented solutions
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project proposal and contract terms
  • Coordinate the development interface with project management and operations teams to assure customer satisfaction
  • Cultivate positive and effective business relationships
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirement

  • Minimum 5 years' experience driving marketing and sales activities to develop, secure, and implement multi-million dollar energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology performance contract project opportunities.

Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated business development, cultivation, relationship management skills with ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate, position, negotiate, and close solutions sales.
  • Proven ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, savings, including energy efficiency, renewable technology, and associated structured financing project development experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of building automation and energy management systems, facility operations and installations involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, conservation, distributed generation, energy efficiency, and renewable technology projects.
  • Superior financial planning, budgeting, and organizational resource management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, technical and computer communication and presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency. Knowledge of energy analysis software.
  • Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state; and
  • Travel required.
