Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for driving day‑to‑day operational excellence across all Middle Market Systems functions. This role ensures cohesive execution of system operations, field activities, technical support, and data quality processes while maintaining high service performance, operational reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization. The Operations Manager champions process efficiency, effective cross‑functional coordination, and overall operational readiness.

In addition, this role oversees the operational planning and execution of new product deployments, ensuring team alignment, resource coordination, and successful implementation across field and system operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operational activities across all contracted workstreams to ensure delivery of agreed‑upon services and outcomes.
  • Direct and support all operational functions-including RF Operations, Meter Operations, Technical Support, and Data Management-to meet corporate goals, organizational priorities, and evolving business needs.
  • Partner closely with customers to set clear expectations, communicate performance, and maintain strong operational alignment.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues impacting Landis+Gyr products, services, field performance, and operational reliability.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational metrics that measure performance, productivity, service levels, and process effectiveness across each area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability, quality standards, and supplier performance meet operational requirements.
  • Provide oversight to any remaining logistics‑related activities as needed, ensuring efficient coordination without compromising operational priorities.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor performance in alignment with contractual requirements and Statements of Work.
  • Support new product introduction by coordinating readiness, operational integration, process updates, field deployment planning, and cross‑team alignment.
  • Oversee system and network configuration activities to ensure customer‑specific requirements are implemented accurately and consistently.
  • Provide operational oversight for inspection, quality validation, and sample testing to ensure incoming products meet corporate quality standards.
  • Contribute to forecasting activities to ensure operational planning, resource allocation, revenue targets, and inventory sufficiency are properly supported.
  • Lead internal teams including RF Operations, Meter Operations, Premium Support, and Data Management-to consistently meet customer SLAs and drive a high-quality operational experience.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • 5+years in functional area or equivalent.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS

  • Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.

  • Driving Status: Ability and willingness to travel (25%)

  • Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English.   • Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Pay is in the range of $98,122 - $142,088 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
