Dandelion Energy is transforming how homes are heated and cooled—starting from (below) the ground up. As the nation’s leading residential geothermal company, we design, install, and maintain all-in-one heating and cooling systems that are cleaner, quieter, and up to 4x more efficient than traditional HVAC, with a focus on large, scaled deployments to large homebuilders. We’re an ambitious (and growing) team on a mission to revolutionize home heating.
Backed by Google Ventures (GV) and other top tech investors, our end-to-end geothermal solution is breaking the status quo of residential heating and cooling technology, and we’re scaling rapidly to meet demand. Whether we’re serving national homebuilders or individual homeowners, our mission is the same: to make geothermal the default choice for heating and cooling in the U.S.
About the job
Dandelion Energy is looking for a Demand Generation Manager to lead our customer acquisition and growth marketing efforts as we scale our mission to decarbonize home heating. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited to build from the ground up. From paid campaigns to email nurture flows, social media to field events—you’ll own and execute programs that drive and accelerate pipeline growth.
You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across Sales, Product, and Operations to bring our story to life and get geothermal in front of the people who need it most. If you’re a strategic doer who loves testing, iterating, and moving quickly, we’d love to meet you. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Arlington, VA, reporting to the VP of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns to drive qualified leads, customer acquisition, and brand visibility
- Develop integrated marketing strategies in partnership with Sales, Product, and Policy to support go-to-market initiatives
- Manage and optimize marketing automation tools (e.g., Pardot), including nurture flows and customer journey touchpoints
- Lead Dandelion’s organic social media strategy, producing engaging, on-brand content that grows reach and engagement
- Write and manage content across landing pages, paid ads, email, and social channels
- Track and report on campaign performance, KPIs, and channel attribution to inform ongoing optimization
- Plan and execute field and industry events from end to end, including logistics, vendor coordination, and post-event lead capture
You will thrive in this role if you
- Are a clear, compelling writer with a strong grasp of brand voice and audience targeting
- Love connecting dots across teams and aren’t afraid to track down information to move things forward
- Bring both energy and ownership—comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a startup environment
- Have experience creating and scaling marketing programs from scratch
- Are adaptable and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with changing priorities
- Balance creativity with data, and intuition with a test-and-learn mindset
The must-haves for this role are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in in-house or corporate marketing roles
- 2+ years owning demand generation campaigns
- 2+ years planning and executing marketing events (logistics, vendors, onsite execution)
- Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally across teams
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, scrappy, and evolving environment
- Willingness to work 4 days/week in-office at our Arlington HQ
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
Bonus points for
- Experience at a startup or small company (2+ years, <200 employees)
- Hands-on use of Pardot or similar marketing automation platforms (1+ years)
- Knows your way around Wordpress and has light coding skills
- Has an eye for design and can make basic graphics
- Passion for clean energy, sustainability, or climate tech
