As Team Lead Category Manager (m/f/d) for Electrical Components, you will take strategic ownership of a key product group central to our energy and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will drive the development of sourcing strategies, manage critical supplier relationships, and lead a dedicated team to ensure optimal performance across quality, cost, and innovation.

Tasks

• Strategically develop and expand the category “Electrical Components” (e.g., inverters, cabling, protection systems, connectors, transformers, SCADA, CCTV, HV/MV grid connection, BESS, etc.)
• Define and implement sourcing strategies with a strong focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability
• Lead contract negotiations and conclude framework, pricing, and other relevant supplier agreements
• Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers in close collaboration with Engineering and Quality departments
• Conduct market, supplier, and competitor analyses to identify new procurement markets and potential partners
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Logistics – while managing and continuously developing your own team

Profile

• Degree or several years of professional experience in the field of business management with focus on purchasing and/or electrical engineering
• Experience in the renewable industry, power transmission and/or supply chain
• Strong expertise in electrical components and systems
• Proven experience in global sourcing projects and supplier management
• Business-fluent English skills; German is a plus
• Independent, structured, and proactive working style
• Strong analytical thinking and cost-awareness
• Skilled negotiator with a high degree of business acumen and strategic mindset
