What your day would look like

As Zaptec's new Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key operational role in securing and optimizing the flow of components to our production partners. You will work closely with our partners to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and cost, directly supporting Zaptec's delivery performance, quality, and financial results. Your hands-on approach, strong collaboration skills, and analytical mindset will be essential to keep our supply chain stable, efficient, and ready for growth and innovation.

• Optimize and monitor lead times of components.
• Optimize and monitor inventory levels at our partners and identify potential benefits to balance availability, cost, working capital, and risk.
• Conduct regular meetings and frequent follow up with production partners and sub-suppliers to secure alignment on capacity, deliveries and constraints
• Analysis of future demand and global component market situations to support accurate forecasting.
• Identify potential suppliers as well as maintaining a good relationship with existing suppliers.
• Negotiate new and existing agreements and ensure that the service level, cost, and Zaptec's requirements are taken care of.
• Be a proactive team player to improve company spending.

As a sourcing specialist at Zaptec, you will have a challenging and fun workday (at least that's what we think). You will work closely with external suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the right cost and partnership - this will be a crucial part of your role. We're looking for a proactive and positive individual who will contribute to the fun work environment that makes Zaptec unique.

As for the skills required for this job

• B.sc or similar within Finance, Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar. Relevant work experience can compensate for this.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as negotiation skills.
• The ability to handle several matters in parallel
• Experience in sourcing processes or purchasing.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Norwegian and/or German can also be a plus.
