We are looking for a HSE Manager with a main responsibility in developing and maintaining Occupational Health & Safety procedures in Wärtsilä Finland. The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland, with the possibility of hybrid remote work.
Your role and responsibilities
As a HSE Manager, your work will include developing the OHS practices, procedures and performance in our local operations in Wärtsilä Finland Oy, coordinating OHS activities and cooperation, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and supporting, facilitating and providing expertise in HSE related tasks such as risk assessment, incident investigation, training, and HSE reporting. You'll be working as a part of the Wärtsilä Finland Oy HSSE team.
Requirements for the position
- Minimum 5 years' experience in HSE operations, including HSE risk management, incident management and investigation, safety training, auditing and development of safety procedures
- Good Knowledge of Finnish safety, environmental and chemical legislation
- Experience in OHS cooperation with personnel representatives and Safety authorities
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have
- Good communication skills and ability to coach and train personnel and line management in Safety topics
- Self-driven working style and analytical thinking
- Fluent in Finnish and good command in English
