Job Description
We are expanding our Field Based team and are currently looking for a Regional Site Manager who will be a key member of the Technical Asset Management Team to be based in the Suffolk / Norfolk / Essex area.
What You Will Do
SHEQ
- Ensure that all personnel attending site have the correct PPE and follow site rules as per Operational Management Plan.
- Drive the Health and Safety performance of the assets in your region and ensure all elements of the site, operations and personnel are adhering to regulations, legislation and BayWa r.e site rules.
- Be aware of HSE issues on the sites and propose and discuss necessary measures to improve HSE with the HSE Manager and/or the Lead Technical Asset Manager. Take lead responsibility in implementing such measures.
- Record and manage any safety observations raised by stakeholders.
- Conduct regular contractor audits and site inspections for compliance and best practice.
- In partnership with the SHEQ team plan and coordinate Emergency Drills on site with OEMs and or emergency services annually.
Operational Duties
- Build positive relationships with all stakeholders of the asset.
- Carry out monthly site inspections and ad-hoc site visits for workplace monitoring and produce the reports as per monthly contractual KPIs.
- Create annual site plans to ensure all activities are planned for the following year and drive for operational efficiency of all site tasks.
- Update medium term plans for your sites and manage efficiency / optimization of contractor works for wind farm performance. React in short term for further optimization.
- Understand the company's detailed obligations in respect of any ongoing or ad hoc works on sites in the area. Ensure, monitor and audit compliance with those obligations.
- Take area-wide responsibility for plant performance, work quality and site appearance (both electrical, landscaping, and other) across sites within the area.
- Review all RAMs for major works and supervise lifting activities if required during complex tasks.
- Assist the Technical Asset Manager with field knowledge of wind turbine performance and contractor performance to maximize the asset performance.
- Create and manage all Tasks on site through the creation of Task IDs in Breeze after approval of RAMs with support of SHEQ as required.
- Create and approve site inductions after competency checks of the attendee.
- Review Breeze regularly alongside the technical asset manager for site performance.
- Ensure that all reporting is submitted in a professional, complete and timely manner.
- Together with Asset Manager, take joint lead on onboarding of new sites, including leading site due diligence and on-boarding visits, filling in reports and/or forms, and creating onboarding documentation.
- Meet third parties (e.g. customers/stakeholders) onsite on an ad hoc basis and liaise with such third parties via phone/ email if/ where so directed by the Lead Technical Asset Manager.
- Assist Wind Department Stakeholders and Finance Department with quoting for works.
- Support the Technical Asset Manager for ensuring and improving profit margins on the field operations within the area.
- Alongside the Technical Asset Manager, provide input into the OPEX budgets for the wind assets in all elements.
- Take part in the company's on-call rota if applicable in your region for non-working hours (including bank holidays and weekend).
- Gain authorisation for HV room access for monthly site inspections.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years' experience in a technical or supervisory role on operational wind assets.
- Proficient in Microsoft platforms including word, excel and PowerPoint.
- Can work under own initiative.
- Team Player.
- Attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- CDM and WTSR Knowledge.
- Key manufacturer trained, for example, Vestas, Enercon, SGRE, Senvion, EWT, Nordex.
- Qualifications or training on wind turbine technologies outside of OEM experience.
- SMSTS Certification.
- GWO experience.
- Technical Asset or Site Management Experience.
