As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Operational Technology (OT) team with a Senior Systems Analyst at our Dumfries, Glasgow or Stirling offices.
The Natural Power OT team are responsible for supporting critical Operational Technology systems across Natural Power's Control Centre and site operations. These systems underpin our ability to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative services to our clients in the renewable energy sector. Working closely with IT and project delivery teams, we ensure that operational systems are resilient, secure, and aligned with the evolving needs of the business.
Purpose of Role
The Senior Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting and optimising operational systems that drive the performance of our Control Centre and site operations. You will ensure systems are tailored to business requirements, maintained, secure, and available to provide best-in-class service for our clients.
This is a hands on role that blends technical expertise with stakeholder engagement. You will act as a trusted point of contact for operational and application systems, helping the business adopt new technologies and ensuring that existing platforms continue to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for critical OT systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Provide technical expertise to project teams, and third-party vendors to deliver new system implementations and integrations.
- Play an active role in the adoption of innovative technologies that improve service delivery to clients.
- Ensure systems remain secure and compliant with relevant standards, including cyber resilience requirements for OT environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge resources to support consistent and reliable operations.
- Contribute to incident and problem management, analysing root causes and implementing improvements.
- Support system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management to maintain resilience and availability.
- Engage with operational teams, understanding their requirements and translating them into system enhancements or solutions.
- Play an active role in the adoption of innovative technologies that improve service delivery to clients.
Skills and Experience
- Strong background in supporting and administering operational or business-critical systems.
- Experience of working in OT, SCADA, industrial IT, or other technology environments where security and availability.
- Knowledge of system integration, networking principles, and information security best practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues, building trusted relationships.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to take ownership and deliver results.
- Strong communication skills, with experience producing clear technical and user-focused documentation.
- A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement, with a genuine interest in renewable energy and technology.
