Job Description
The Senior Renewable Energy Analyst, Solar will serve as a key analytical resource, specializing in data analytics related to wind and solar performance analysis, energy yield estimation, and battery energy storage system modeling. This role involves close collaboration with fellow analysts to drive continuous improvements in methodologies and models, while maintaining a strong focus on addressing client needs and ensuring optimal outcomes. The role may be hired as Senior Renewable Energy Analyst or Analytics Lead, commensurate with candidate's experience and qualifications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive long-term resource assessments and energy production analyses with a focus on solar energy projects, ensuring accurate evaluation of production data.
- Conduct detailed performance assessments of operational solar projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports in alignment with project deliverables and effectively communicate these outcomes.
- Review and/or approve technical analyses, reports, and deliverables.
- Advise on optimal strategies to achieve objectives and actively participate in the joint preparation and submission of proposals.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and solar OEMs, providing timely support and addressing any technical challenges.
- Contribute to project management activities as required, ensuring alignment with project goals and timely and high-quality delivery of tasks within budget.
- Apply a range of methods, tools, and techniques to effectively solve complex technical problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant technical discipline.
- Experience and familiarity with solar project design and energy analysis.
- 3+ years of experience in energy estimation preferred.
- Experience with PVSyst or other solar energy modeling tools.
- Experience with processing renewable energy project operational data.
- Experience in consulting, technical due diligence, or independent engineering.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree in technical discipline.
- Experience with multiple renewable energy sources: wind, solar, BESS.
