The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team in supporting the development of our wave energy converter digital twin and other modelling tools. As we use a model-based design approach, this role is critical in ensuring the quality, timeliness and reliability of input to the design teams. You will work closely with modelling engineers and control engineers to improve data pipelines, monitor system performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our modelling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and interpret large datasets used for WEC (Wave Energy Converter) design load cases.
  • Collect, organize, and interpret test data from laboratory measurements or ocean deployments.
  • Validate numerical models based on experimental data or higher-fidelity models.
  • Enhance tools and workflows for systematic analysis of simulation data.
  • Contribute to model quality assurance of our modelling tools using guidance from established standards.

Possible responsibilities

  • Enhance the data flow strategy from simulation tool
  • Develop or support the development of condition monitoring algorithms for online plant analysis.
  • Preparation of data for training of Machine learning models.
  • Representation of the team in a product team.

Skills and qualifications

  • MSc in relevant discipline as a minimum
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in an industrial context.
  • Proficiency in Matlab; experience with Python is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with or eagerness to dive in first-principle physical modeling (solid mechanics, thermodynamics, power electronics).
  • Experience with and interest for complex machines is qualifying.
