Role
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated software engineer to take an important role in the development and testing of our wave energy converter (WEC) system. Together with the Software Team you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that ensure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of the wave energy conversion system The position is based in our Headquarters in Stockholm.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and optimize WEC control software.
- Cross discipline collaboration to ensure correct software-hardware integration.
- Ensure real-time performance, safety, and reliability of control software.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high software quality.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and design specifications.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices in embedded software development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the energy sector.
- Continuously research and adopt emerging technologies relevant to control systems in energy production.
- Drive process improvements within the software development lifecycle, including best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Define and enhance development methodologies, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical leadership in the adoption of new tools and technologies to streamline development processes.
Skills and qualifications
- Proficiency in C/C++ (required)
- Experience in Python (meriting)
- Understanding of communication protocols such as EtherCat, CAN, Modbus (meriting).
- Experience with Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Experience with real-time programming.
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based embedded development.
- Experience in software development process improvement and workflow optimization.
You bring at least 1-5 years of software development in a fast-paced environment. Experience/interest in building machines, innovative technologies and the renewable energy markets is meriting. We value strong communication skills and the ability to work in a small agile team. You are highly proficient in business English.
