Job Description
Our mission is to make consumer energy resources (CER) affordable and accessible for everyone.
Brighte is building the platform to enable and accelerate the energy transition by making it affordable, easy and less risky to buy and sell energy equipment.

What You'll Do
- Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports for all entities, including consolidation entries.
- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Review and enhance balance sheet reconciliations to ensure they effectively highlight control weaknesses or anomalies.
- Review and ensure accuracy of tax calculations and returns across Income Tax, GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, and PAYG.
- Manage the monthly payroll process and ensure compliance with employment tax obligations.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable function and contribute to the optimisation of accounting system configurations.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and ensure documentation of key accounting policies aligns with relevant standards.
- Provide explanatory analysis for material variances against budget or historical trends.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to ensure the FinPower loan management system is accurately configured and functioning effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and advisors to support audit readiness and compliance.
- Partner with the Funding team to ensure compliance with accounting policies for securitisation warehouses and debt facilities.
- Establish and monitor policies for new debt facilities, including public issuances.
- Oversee trust account reporting and cash flow analysis, ensuring accurate forecasting and position tracking.
What You'll Bring
- Must have experience in the banking or financial services sector or Big 4 accounting firms in a listed and/or regulated environment
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
- Must have experience in managing Loan Management Systems.
- Skilled with systems implementation and strong technical accounting experience highly regarded.
- Experience in treasury or funding facilities (including securitisation) is essential.
- Strong documentation skills, including writing policies and procedures.
- Skilled operator and thrives in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating curiosity and ability to engage across a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- Broad tax knowledge is essential
- Exceptional Excel skills
- Tableau or similar database experience is highly advantageous
