Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to over 1.5 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
About the position
The Senior Change Manager is a newly created role, spurred by Snowy's rapid expansion. Reporting to the Head of Change and Employee Experience, it will enable Snowy Hydro's ambition by leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of critical change initiatives. The role will be responsible for equipping employees and leaders with the tools and support needed to successfully navigate change, ultimately fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring integration of change efforts across key programs to help deliver a consistent change experience for our people
- Driving the change portfolio for critical P&C and enterprise initiatives. This involves partnering to translate strategic vision into prioritised, integrated, and actionable change plans
- Ensuring we manage the risk of change fatigue (or ensuring we understand what change our people are going through and when)
- Establishing a change-ready culture by defining the frameworks, tools, and resources for leaders
- Designing and implementing programs in partnership with the P&C CoEs to continually enhance Snowy's overall change management capability
- Establishment and reporting on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives (e.g., adoption rates and business value). This involves providing data-driven insights to senior leadership and the business

About you
- You'll bring a strong understanding of change management methodologies, best practices, and the ability to apply them effectively in complex contexts
- With your exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, you have the ability to influence and engage with senior leaders
- With your project management skills, you will be happy working autonomously and effectively managing concurrent change projects
- You bring a passion for fostering a workplace where employees feel valued, heard and supported through change
- You have an ability to influence and build credibility outside of line management/direct control especially when guiding people through changes to long held cultural norms and ways of working
- A tertiary qualification in Change, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area is desirable
- You bring significant experience in a similar role in a corporate environment, with proven success that you'll be able to share in your interview (if shortlisted)
