What They Do
Solar Provider Group is a privately held, fully integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) company specializing in the development, financing, engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance of commercial and utility-scale solar installations. The company focuses exclusively on solar PV systems, which include ground-mounted utility-scale solar power plants, commercial-scale rooftop solar systems, and community solar projects. Their target markets encompass landowners, building owners, local communities, municipalities, and utilities seeking clean energy solutions at competitive prices (source: solarprovidergroup.com). By leveraging over a decade of experience, Solar Provider Group has established a strong reputation in the solar industry, differentiating itself through its fully integrated model and proven track record of hundreds of projects.
Projects & Track Record
Solar Provider Group has completed over 200 solar installations worldwide, totaling more than 100 MW of installed capacity. Notable projects include a 2 MW community solar partnership in Minnesota with Syncarpha Capital, which reached commercial operation in December 2018. Currently, the company has 1296 MW in development across six countries, with ongoing initiatives powering 26,350 homes off the grid. While specific project names beyond the Minnesota installation are not detailed in recent records, the company maintains a strong presence in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany, reflecting its steady expansion from its Canadian base (source: solarprovidergroup.com). Key partnerships with local communities, municipalities, landowners, and utilities further enhance its operational capabilities.
Recent Developments
In the last two years, Solar Provider Group has not made significant public announcements regarding new contracts, acquisitions, or major developments. The focus appears to be on executing its existing 1296 MW development pipeline without highlighting fresh press releases or high-profile publicity. The company’s website emphasizes sustained operations, indicating a commitment to delivering on its projects rather than seeking new accolades or recognition (source: solarprovidergroup.com). Earlier activities, such as the 2018 Minnesota project, remain the most notable milestones in the absence of new updates post-2023.
