We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.
Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors SoftBank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now operating Polaris, our next prototype on the path to the world's first fusion power plant.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you'll ensure that critical mechanical, electrical, and facility systems remain operational and safe to support Helion's fusion development activities. We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to take the lead on complex maintenance tasks, support team members, and improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure that supports our mission. You will report to the Facilities Operations Manager and work onsite at our Everett, WA office.
You Will
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, along with a range of facility and utility systems found in a complex production environment
- Diagnose and repair issues across production and facility-dependent equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Maintain and repair access systems, including roll-up doors, pedestrian doors, and automated gate systems
- Coordinate and oversee vendor work to meet safety, security, and quality standards
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and system performance
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in building, mechanical, or facility maintenance
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting, repair techniques, and use of diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and OSHA safety compliance
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Skilled in operating motorized lift equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts)
- Comfortable working at heights and using fall protection equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in HVAC or related trades are a plus

Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. This is a non-exempt hourly role.
Hourly Pay Rate
$52 - $74 USD
