Job Description

Skeleton's Advanced Engineering Department is looking for a driven and experienced Product Director (m/f/x).

As Product Director, you will serve as the CPO's right-hand and become the driving force behind Skeleton's product evolution. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role combining deep technical understanding, customer intimacy, and strong execution. You will own the full product lifecycle for our next-generation energy storage solutions - with a particular focus on winning and delivering in the rapidly growing datacenter market.

Your responsibility areas

  • Serve as the CPO's trusted deputy and strategic partner.
  • Define and maintain the company-wide Product Strategy and multi-year technology and product roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional critical projects from concept to high-volume delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (especially hyperscale/datacenter customers) and strategic suppliers.
  • Drive market intelligence: deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, technology developments, and regulatory landscape.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape (ultracapacitors, lithium-ion, flywheels, alternative technologies).
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align roadmap with technical feasibility, manufacturing scale-up, and commercial goals.
  • Represent Skeleton Technologies externally at industry conferences, customer meetings, and partner negotiations.

Requirements

  • MSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in product management/product leadership within energy storage, power electronics, battery systems, or related high-tech hardware industries.
  • Proven track record of bringing complex hardware products from concept to high-volume production.
  • Deep customer-facing experience, ideally with Tier-1 OEMs or hyperscale/datacenter customers.
  • Strong technical foundation combined with commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (fluent English required; German, Finnish or Estonian is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%).

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in ultracapacitors, supercapacitors, or hybrid energy storage systems.
  • Background in datacenter power infrastructure or high-power applications.
  • Previous success in scaling products in fast-growing, capital-intensive industries.

Benefits

  • We offer flexible working hours, with the possibility of mobile working without core working hours and sufficient freedom for your own ideas.
  • A flat hierarchy culture - fostering our great working atmosphere.
  • A motivating opportunity for continuous growth at Skeleton.
  • An additional day off every year for your birthday.

We're not just about energy storage. We're about redefining energy for a net-zero future, and we'd love for you to be a part of our journey.
