Job Description
Do you want to gain experience with an international team at one of the most recognized companies in the Wind Power Industry? This job is for you! Join Vestas as a Site Manager.
The Installation Department East is responsible for the installation and commissioning of all wind farm projects, from start to completion, within our East Cluster, which includes Romania, Ukraine, Croatia, and other countries where business is under development.
The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once the contract is signed and remains accountable until the completion of final tests. Located on-site in the East Cluster and working closely with the Project Manager, Logistics, Purchasing, and Finance departments, the Site Manager will oversee a team of Supervisors, HSE Coordinators, and subcontractors. The Site Manager will ensure the project stays on budget and on schedule while meeting our technical, safety, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Organize construction sites with an emphasis on safety, quality, and budget control
- Oversee all construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Monitor work progress daily to meet contractual performance requirements
- Prepare internal and external reports to communicate project progress
- Plan to prevent issues and resolve emerging challenges
- Analyze, coordinate, and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards are adhered to and that proper construction techniques are used
- Be involved from site preparation to the handover of the completed project
Qualifications
- High school diploma + 2-3 years in construction management or an equivalent field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in site and team management
- Solid knowledge of safety management procedures, delivery stations, electrical instruments, cells, and APIs
- Experience in the wind sector would be valuable

- Fluency in both Romanian and English (spoken and written)
- Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A high priority placed on creating a safe working environment and managing crises
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to prioritize and focus under stressful situations
