As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Operations and Asset Management team with a Lead Technician at our Wind Farm Scotland East (EH42 1SH) - Crystal Rig.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and be accountable for all turbine maintenance and operational activities at a designated wind farm located in the central belt. Responsibilities include local planning, coordination, and management of daily turbine maintenance, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely, to a high standard, and on schedule. This will involve a combination of hands-on work as well as mentoring and supervising other technicians on site.

  • Team Leadership: Leading and supervising the local team of technicians, ensuring they are motivated and productive.
  • Site Servicing and Maintenance: Execute all site servicing and maintenance activities to ensure high standards and maximize operational output.
  • Compliance with Standards: Ensure all maintenance deliverables are completed on time and adhere to client and NPS standards and practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of team members, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Training and Development: Organizing and conducting training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring all maintenance and servicing activities meet the required standards and quality.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any technical issues or challenges that arise during maintenance activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all team activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Reporting: Preparing and submitting regular reports on team performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing the management of spare parts and stock inventory to ensure availability and proper usage.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaising with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the services provided.
  • Site Representation: Act as the NPS representative at the site in the absence of the Hub Operations Manager.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Manage any sub-contracted work locally as required

This is a Permanent, Full-Time role, working 40 hours per week, Overtime and On-Call
