Job Description
Join Vestas' Service Solutions Procurement team and manage vendor relationships and optimize strategic sourcing for wind turbine services. In this role, you'll negotiate contracts, optimize costs, and ensure top-quality service delivery across Northern Central Europe. The Service Solutions department is embedded into the overall Northern Central European Regional Procurement organization responsible for Direct, Indirect, Construction and Service.
The international team is allocated across Poland and Germany.
Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain solid relationships with service vendors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's service objectives, ensuring timely availability of necessary services while minimizing costs and risks
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with service vendors to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements (SLAs), while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Regularly evaluate vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain service quality and efficiency
- Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to be able to report cost-out measures, monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality
- Compliance and Risk Management: Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards related to service procurement, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships and contractual obligations.

Qualifications
- Education: Background in business administration or supply chain management or a related field is required. We prefer a Bachelors degree
- Experience: Prior experience in procurement, preferably in the renewable energy sector is essential. We prefer experience specifically related to wind turbine services procurement
- Knowledge of Wind Energy: Familiarity with wind energy technology, including turbine components, maintenance requirements, and service providers, is important for effectively sourcing and managing service contracts
Competencies
- Procurement Skills: Solid negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills are necessary for accomplishing the procurement of services while optimizing costs and quality
- Technical Understanding: An understanding of technical specifications and requirements for wind turbine services is beneficial for evaluating supplier proposals and ensuring service quality
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics is crucial for making informed procurement decisions and optimizing supply chain efficiency
